Though you are to be admitted on a non-emergency basis, you could arrive at the admission office anytime. We provide a 24-hour admission service for you.

 
 

Car park is available at the entrance of the hospital, also at our basement. Your driver may drop you off at the main entrance, but must not leave the car unattended. Please observe all "No Parking" signs.

When you arrive, please go to the receptionist located in the lobby entrance. We will ask you to sign required treatment consent forms or other benefit claim forms. All information given us will be held in the strictest confidence.

 
 

Bring with you nightclothes, a robe, slippers, toilet articles, and, if you wish, writing and reading materials. Kasemrad Hospital have a gift shop but most of the reading materials are still in local language.

Please do not bring too much money for personal use. Please leave jewelry and other valuables at home or check them with our Head nurse. We can not assume responsibility for articles, which remain in your possession.

 
 

An identification tag, which shows your name and your hospital number, will be given to you upon admission. Asleep or awake, the tag allows all that treat you to know exactly who you are. Please do not remove it. Also, please take a minute to verify the information.

We do everything possible to avoid inconveniencing our patients. Please be understanding if an unexpected emergency admission occurs which interrupts your admission process.

After you reach your room, a staff member will advise you about your hospital regime and will ask you for necessary information about your diet, allergies, or other personal concerns that may require special attention. Please feel free to ask any question you may have at this time.

Your Health Care Team

More than 200 people are involved in making your stay at Kasemrad Hospital as comfortable and healthful as possible. From your physician who directs your treatment, to the nurse who provides your daily care, to the housekeeper who cleans your room, all are committed to seeing you well again.

All our employees and volunteers wear identification badges which tell you our names and positions. Please do not hesitate to ask any one of us if you have questions or need assistance.

 
   
 

Our nursing staff is composed of registered and licensed practical nurses, all possessing the skills and education necessary to carry out the careful plan of treatment prescribed by your physician. Nursing assistants and volunteers who work under the supervision of the nurses will also provide some of your bedside care.

In some cases, you may require the services of our therapists and technicians. These highly skilled professionals provide respiratory treatments, take a sample of your blood, and administer tests, or x-rays. All these services have been ordered by your physician to help with diagnosis and treatment of your illness.

For every nurse or technician you see, you will find others working behind the scenes: engineers, administrators, all are members of a team of experienced, caring Kasemrad Hospital employees, all working together to provide you with the highest quality care while you are here.

    Cardiac Services
    This unit will provide you with routine or emergency care if you are affected by disorders of the heart or lung.

    Physical Therapy
    Physical Therapy unit work with patients to help them reach their highest level of independence. Patients receiving Rehabilitation Services may have treatments including strengthening, mobility training, or help with pain management to prepare the patient for hospital discharge.

    Pathology (Laboratory)
    The Pathology unit performs tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens, as requested by a healthcare provider. A pathologist is a physician who specialises in the selection, performance, and interpretation of laboratory tests and the examination of laboratory tests and the examination of surgical tissue. These tests are used in the diagnosis of your illness or in following the course of your illness and the effect of your treatment.

    Radiology
    During the course of treatment at Kasemrad Hospital, your physician may request tests to be performed by the Radiology Unit. These tests are necessary to diagnose and evaluate your health and to assess the effects of your treatment. In addition to routine x-ray examinations, our Radiology Unit is well equipped with the most modern facilities for CAT scanning, ultrasound, mammography, and echocardiography testing. All of these tests are performed by trained technologists under the supervision of a radiologist, or in certain cases, by the radiologists themselves.

    Your physician will consult with the radiologists about exams he orders and their results. These exams often require special preparation on your part, and some of them may be long and complicated, but we assure you that we will make your visit to radiology as comfortable and efficient as possible.

    Anaesthesiology
    If you require anaesthesia services while you are in the hospital, an anaesthesia unit representative will meet with you to evaluate and discuss your needs. Recommendations will be based on an evaluation of your medical history and physical findings, the procedure itself, and your wishes. A decision as to the safest, smoothest anaesthetic course for your needs will be made. If a technique is recommended which you do not desire or do not understand, please ask for clarification.

    Ambulatory Care/Outpatient Surgery
    Kasemrad Hospital recognises your right to attain a maximum level of health at the least possible cost. The Ambulatory Care Unit was designed with this philosophy in mind, to make services available to those persons needing limited elective procedures. Your physician may suggest this option if it is appropriate for you. Your surgery/ endoscopy will be scheduled by your physician's office and you will be called with an arrival time. You will be called at home after discharge to monitor your progress and answer any questions.
