Our Heart Centre provides a comprehensive range of cardiac investigations as well as providing acute monitoring for all cardiac catheter cases. All reports are reported by a team of experienced Cardiologists. The Centre also offers 24hr technician cover for acute emergencies.

The Centre aims to provide a focus on the increasing profile of cardiology and cardiac surgical services, and to develop, practice and employ advanced techniques in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.
The Unit has 17 beds, with the capacity for invasive and non-invasive pressure monitoring. The unit is supported by nursing staff with critical care qualifications, who provide personalised care to every patient. |

Cardiac Surgery
There is a modern operating theatres totally dedicated to cardiac surgery, providing a full range of elective and emergency open heart surgical procedures.
These theatres have sophisticated monitoring and support equipment. Cardiac surgery is fully supported by a superb state-of-the-art 17-bed Intensive Care Unit which is capable of providing the most specialist levels of critical care for cardiac patients. The hospital also runs a 24-hour Emergency Unit that is accredited to accept all types of cardiac emergency patients.
The hospital is fully equipped to provide a complete range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions. Treatment is provided by a team of cardiac surgeons and physicians from Thailand's leading teaching hospitals.
A team of cardiothoracic surgeons with full time resident surgical officers is supported by cardiac trained nurses as well as perfusionists and technicians. Twenty four hour cover is provided to deal with any cardiac emergency.
Cardio-thoracic surgical facilities include a dedicated theatre and a 17 bedded Intensive Care Unit. Intra-aortic balloon pump support is available for patients with poor ventricular function.
Recent advances enable open-heart surgery to be performed without the need to bypass the heart. This new technology which is used at the Kasemrad greatly shortens operating time and reduces the risk to the patient.
Post-operative care is provided in the Intensive Care and Progressive Care Units, the latter being equipped with radio-telemetry monitoring facilities. Post-angioplasty patients and those with acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina are admitted to the Progressive Care Unit.
With its fully comprehensive renal, neurological and vascular facilities, Kasemrad Hospital is also well equipped to manage a total care approach to cardio-thoracic patients with more complicated disease.
Cardiac Catheterisation Unit
The Cardiac Catheterisation unit has state-of-the-art laboratories with the most modern technical equipment. The procedures performed in the lab include angiography, balloon angioplasty, stenting, directional coronary atherectomy, thrombectomy, valuloplasty, trans-septal catheterisation, and intravascular ultrasound. We are also on the cutting edge of innovative research as well as intravascular brachytherapy for the treatment of restenosis. We have experienced interventional cardiologists who perform the procedures listed above.
